The Government have published the The Volatile Organic Compounds in Paints, Varnishes and Vehicle Refinishing Products Regulations 2012 (S.I. 2012 No 1715), which will come into effect on 27 July 2012.
This Act specified the products to which it applies, the maximum permitted levels of VOCs in these products and the permitted analytical methods for their determination (ISO 11890 Parts 1 and 2, ASTM D2369.
ISO 11890 Part 2 is a Gas Chromatographic method; no reference materials exist to support the method and matrices. Any comments on the accuracy or suitability of the method?
