The Environment Agency’s Standing Committee of Analysts have published two updated Blue Book methods, both referring to microbiological examination of waters. They are:
The Microbiology of Drinking Water (2012) – Part 7 – Methods for the enumeration of heterotrophic bacteria. (Blue Book 238)
The Microbiology of Drinking Water (2012) – Part 5 – Methods for the isolation and enumeration of enterococci. (Blue Book 237)
These replace previous Blue Book methods published in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
