The European Union has moved to impose control measures on the substance 5-(2-aminopropyl)indole. This chemical has undergone risk assessment by the extended Scientific Committee of the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA), and is considered to be a psychoactive substance which can present adverse reactions in humans. It is now considered to be a so-called legal high, and should now be controlled.
